Vision and Mission

Vision

High quality public education for all students, regardless of race or socio-economic status, plays a vital role in society.   Schools must empower students with a strong academic skill base.   Instruction must also be designed to develop creative and critical thinking skills.   Twenty-first century students require culturally-relevant instruction and integrated technology to actively explore local, state, national, and global issues.

Mission

Education is a process not a product.   Therefore, my mission is to help students develop a love of learning.   This is achieved through an emphasis on respect and responsibility in the classroom and a culture of excellence.   Lessons are engaging and scaffold instruction for students.   Creative and critical thinking skills take priority over rote learning.   Students develop academic and personal confidence through carefully planned learning experiences.
